Mason Greenwood, who is on loan in Spain, has reportedly been informed by Manchester United about whether or not he will ever play for the club again.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Spanish minnows Getafe, for whom he scored his first goal before the international break.
His temporary move to the Madrid-based side came after the Red Devils decided it was best his continued his career elsewhere following his arrest in 2022 on suspicion of attempted rape, coercive control, and assault causing actual bodily harm.
While those charges have since been dropped, United still ultimately chose to loan him out for the 2023/24 campaign despite reports earlier this year that the club had initially planned to reintroduce him to their first-team squad.
According to the Daily Star, meanwhile, little has changed regarding the 20-time English giants' stance on Greenwood's future, with the board having told him there are no plans to welcome him back no matter how well he does in LALIGA.

The striker has a contract in Manchester until 2025, but United are hoping his form during his loan spell attracts potential suitors ahead of next season.
