Veteran coach Ernst Middendorp has revealed to Soccer Laduma what his advice was to bring in Karim Kimvuidi way before the player became a star with Orlando Pirates.
Kimvuidi wasted no time in winning the hearts of Pirates' faithful since being given a chance to play in coach Jose Riveiro's line-ups in recent matches after being one of the late signings in July.

The Democratic Republic of Congo playmaker was the scorer of the Buccaneers' winning penalty as they defeated Mamelodi Sundowns to defend their MTN8 trophy at Moses Mabhida Stadium earlier this month.
Before his big move to the Soweto giants, Kimvuidi played for Maritzburg United where he was brought in by Middendorp during his time as the club's head coach and the German mentor speaks highly of the 21-year-old for his immense talent.
"When I spoke to you about him, he wasn't even playing yet, but I spoke highly of him. He was only training with us and unfortunately, we couldn't use him (because he wasn't registered)," said Middendorp to the Siya crew.

"There was one day when I went to watch a game (for Maritzburg) and I met Farook (Kadodia) and Karim was sitting on the bench for about 95 minutes and I said to Farook, 'Whenever you want to give advice to anybody in the technical team, please do it. This Karim can't sit on the bench. He must be starting, he must be involved, and if you don't see what he is capable of, then something is missing in your team.' That's it," the coach added.
