Ronaldo Nets Twice As Portugal Remain Perfect

Bosnia-Herzegovina 0-5 Portugal

Portugal maintained their perfect record in the European Championship qualifiers after thrashing Bosnia-Herzegovina 5-0 on Monday night.

Despite clinching qualification in the last game, Cristiano Ronaldo maintained his spot in the line-up and managed to open the scoring on five minutes from the penalty spot.

The 38-year-old doubled his and Portugal's tally in the 20th minute before Bruno Fernandes got the visitors' third goal five minutes later.

Portugal managed to grab a fourth goal in the 32nd minute when Fernandes turned provider to pick out Joao Cancelo for the first-time finish, before Joao Felix added a fifth goal four minutes before the interval.

Greece 0-1 Netherlands

The Netherlands edged closer to securing their spot at the European Championship after defeating Greece 1-0 on Monday night.

The visitors needed a 93rd minute penalty from Virgil van Dijk to secure maximum points.

The Dutch moved up to second spot in Group B and need one more win to book the spot at the tournament.

Belgium P-P Sweden

The clash between Belgium and Sweden was abandoned following a suspected terrorist attack in Brussels on Monday evening.

The Swedes opened the scoring and silenced the hosts on 15 minutes, with Viktor Gyökeres converting a penalty.

The Red Devils got on level terms in the 31st minute with a penalty of their own, as Romelu Lukaku scored his 79th goal in international football.

The players, however, decided against coming out for the second half due to the shooting in Brussels.

Azerbaikan 0-1 Austria

Austria sealed their ticket to the European Championship after defeating Azerbaijan 1-0 on Monday evening.

Marcel Sabizter scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot in the second to seal the visitors' spot at next year's tournament.
