Since arriving at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019, there has not been a lot of responsibility that the 22-year-old has been burdened with.
However, following an exodus of attackers from the club this past off-season, a lot more has been expected of Rodrygo.
So far this season, though, the Osasco native has failed to deliver for Los Merengues, with his only goal across all competitions coming against Athletic Bilbao on the opening matchday of the league season.
According to Relevo, however, this has not deterred the club from keeping their faith in the skilful attacker, with Real president Florentino Perez still believing the 16-cap Brazil international can be among the world's best players.
The pacey winger has gone on goalless streaks before but never when he has been the primary scorer, and it is presumably because of this unfamiliarity with the role that the LALIGA log leaders are willing to be patient with him.

He has been given starting opportunities by Carlo Ancelotti in the campaign, but the Italian has also sought to pounce on Joselu's good form of late, meaning Rodrygo has started on the bench in recent league matches.
