According to Kooora, the Club of the Century has already begun the process of negotiating with some of their biggest stars over fresh deals as many of them approach the final year of their existing contracts.
It is said the club is keen to avoid the situations that transpired with attackers Hussien El Shahat, who became a free agent this past off-season before re-signing with Ahly, and Mohamed Sheriff, who was sold to Saudi Pro League side Al-Khaleej during the latest transfer window for fear of losing him for free in a year's time.
The same report claims that chiefs at the Cairo International Stadium believe their superstars should have more than two years remaining on their respective contracts, and it is for that reason that the club has made it a priority to extend the contracts of Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Ahmed Abdelkader and Bafana Bafana talisman Tau.

The four players mentioned have shown how pivotal they are for Marcel Koller, and were major cogs in the team's success 2022/23 season, with the Swiss tactician leading the Red Devils to five titles since taking over in the Egyptian capital.
