It may still be early in the season, but the Siya crew understands that SuperSport United will look into keeping Mamelodi Sundowns striker Etiosa Ighodaro on a permanent basis if things go according to plan.
Ighodaro has already found the back of the net since joining Matsatsantsa on loan from Tshwane rivals Sundowns, scoring in the 2-0 victory over Richards Bay on the opening weekend of the DStv Premiership.

It's understood that SuperSport coach Gavin Hunt and Stan Matthews are big fans of the striker's quality and are open to making ways to keep him permanently beyond the end of the season, if everything goes according to plan.
With Bradley Grobler heading towards the end of his playing career, Ighodaro could be a long-term solution for SuperSport upfront and the club has not ruled out the possibility of keeping him for a longer period once his loan deal comes to an end. It's believed SuperSport signed him with one eye on making the deal a permanent one.
However, he will still have to prove himself this season and he has made a positive start with the goal he scored on the opening weekend of the season.
The Nigerian striker was on loan to Chippa United last season and made an impact, banging in 10 goals throughout the campaign to keep the Chilli Boys in the topflight.
