After his late goal against Zamalek last week, international football's all-time leading goalscorer was once again on hand to thwart one of Africa's best as he scored the opening strike to help Al Nassr thump Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic 3-1 on Sunday.
The goal was his third successive strike in the tournament, with all three coming against north African opposition after the superstar opened his competition account against Tunisian outfit Monastir.
Sultan Al-Ghannam and Seko Fofana also found the back of Raja's net as the Knights of Najd sent the Josef Zinnbauer-led Green Eagles packing.
The ex-Orlando Pirates manager will now return to Casablanca to try and map out the way forward for the Moroccans as they end the 2022/23 campaign without a trophy.
To add insult to injury, the Botola Pro outfit will also not be competing in continental competition for the first time since 2016/17 next season, after finishing fifth in their top flight this past campaign.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, is looking to get his hands on his first piece of silverware since arriving in Riyadh.
Al Nassr have never won the King Salman Club Cup before, but with the Portuguese as the competition's joint top goalscorer so far in this campaign, they will be hoping to finally lift the trophy in the coming days.
