A Saudi Arabian club is reportedly prepared to offer Kylian Mbappe an earth-shattering €700 million (R13 billion) contract in the hopes of luring the Frenchman away from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ligue 1 champions are said to have issued an ultimatum to the Bondy native as he enters the final 12 months of his contract at the Parc des Princes: extend with them or be put up for sale.
The 24-year-old has already made it clear he does not intend to prolong his stay in the French capital beyond June 2024, and because PSG do not want to lose him for free, the club has transfer-listed him.
Not many teams are believed to be able to afford Mbappe, but it seems a Saudi Pro League giant is determined to put an end to the France captain's transfer saga.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Al Hilal have submitted a formal bid of €300 million (R5.9 billion) to PSG in order to open discussions with the attacker.
It remains to be seen if Mbappe would be open to moving to the Gulf state this early in his career, but CBS Sport has also claimed that Hilal are prepared to offer the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot winner a one-year deal worth an astonishing €700 million.
A move to Real Madrid has long been mooted for the forward, and it seems the Saudis would be more than open to welcoming the France captain to their top flight even if it is for one season, whereafter the prolific marksman would be able to complete a potential move to the Santiago Bernabeu, although it is further claimed that an extension will be offered to him too should he decide to stay on at Hilal.
At the beginning of 2022, Cristiano Ronaldo signed the largest-ever contract in football history when he signed for Al Nassr. That deal was rumoured to be worth €200 million (R3.9 billion) over three years, but as extraordinary as that contract is, Mbappe would be earning more than triple that amount for a single season should he agree to the transfer.

It is understood that talks between Mbappe's representatives and the Blue Wave are yet to take place, but reports have claimed that PSG have given the green light to their star to initiate discussions with the recent AFC Champions League finalists.
