Les Parisiens and Mbappe find themselves embroiled in yet another transfer saga.
The clinical attacker could be on his way out of the Parc des Princes as he approaches the final 12 months of his deal, having previously stated that he has no intention of extending with the record Ligue 1 champions.
His departure could be the second high-profile exit of the transfer window for the French side, who also saw Lionel Messi leave as a free agent to join Inter Miami.
In the midst of all the controversy, Al-Khelaifi has made it clear to the current PSG squad that no player's priorities are to be put above that of the institution's.
"It is important to tell you that the manager has the power to do as he pleases, it is he who decides," he is quoted as telling the team, as per L'Equipe.
"All together, we need to go in the same direction and show pride to play for this club, this shirt, for PSG, as well as showing happiness and, most of all, loyalty.
"The club is bigger than anyone here, even me. I expect you to be at 200% during training.
