Argentina legend Lionel Messi was unveiled to a sold-out stadium in the United States in the early hours of Monday morning – here are the best pictures from the incredible event.

Around 20 000 supporters were in attendance at Inter Milan's DRV PNK Stadium in Florida to see the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner in the flesh for the first time since his move to the MLS outfit was confirmed.
Messi, 36, was handed the No. 10 shirt by the club's ownership group, which includes legendary ex-footballer David Beckham.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner was introduced as "America's number 10, the world's best number 10" by the stadium announcer as he entered the field, while Sergio Busquets was also unveiled at the event.

The ex-Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain forward said a few words on the microphone in his native Spanish, insisting he has joined Inter Miami to keep competing.
"I really want to start training, to compete. I have the same desire that I always had to compete, to want to win, to help the club continue to grow," he said, according to BBC.com.
"I am very happy to have chosen to come to play in this city with my family, to choose this project and I have no doubt that we are going to enjoy it a lot. We are going to have a good time and very good things are going to happen."

Messi, who has become the highest-paid player in the MLS, is expected to make his first appearance for his new club on 21 July in the Leagues Cup.
