Stellenbosch FC have confirmed that one of their players has secured a move abroad ahead of the 2023/2024 season.
The Siya crew reported earlier today that Ibraheem Jabaar jetted out of the country to complete a move to Israel.

The Western Cape side have now confirmed that the Nigerian midfielder has parted ways with the club and will join Maccabi Petah Tikva.

Stellenbosch Football Club has parted ways with Ibraheem Jabaar to pave the way for him to join Maccabi Petah Tikva ahead of the 2023/24 Israeli Premier League season.
The 20-year-old joined Stellenbosch in 2021 and spent the last two-and-a-half seasons in the Winelands, making a total of 70 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Last year, he became the youngest player in the club's history to reach the 50-match milestone and was also named the SFC Young Player of the Year in 2022 in recognition of his stellar performances.
The Nigeria youth international departs with the blessing of all at the club who wish him well as he embarks on the next chapter of his career abroad.
