Arsenal's 10 Highest-Paid Players After Havertz Arrival

With Arsenal's new signing Kai Havertz now reportedly the highest-paid player at the club, here are the 10 best compensated players at the Emirates Stadium after the German's arrival.

When Havertz arrived in English football in 2020, much was expected of the silky attacker for Chelsea. While he did score the decisive goal in the 2020/21 UEFA Champions League final for the Blues, ultimately winning them their second European Cup, much of the Aachen native's time in at Stamford Bridge was underwhelming.

The 37-time Germany forward has now moved across the English capital to join up with Mikel Arteta and the Gunners.

The north Londoners clearly rate the playmaking forward highly, as is evidenced by his reported weekly wages with his new side. According to Sport Bild, Havertz is now the highest paid players at the club, raking in a whopping £331 000 (R7.8 million) a week.

The lanky attacker displaces last season's marquee arrival Gabriel Jesus at the top of the Arsenal wage charts.

The Brazil international joined the Gunners last season and had an immediate impact as he aided his new side in challenging his former employers, Manchester City, for the league title. In that instance, there is a case to be made for the Premier League giants gaining an immediate return on the £265 000 (R6.3 million) weekly wages they pay the Sao Paulo native.

Completing the three highest-paid players for the record FA Cup winners is Thomas Partey. The 30-year-old, who is on £200 000 (R4.7 million) a week, was once top of the list, but following the aforementioned arrivals, he has conceded that position.

While the defensive midfielder has proved an integral part of Arteta's plans since arriving, the Ghanaian could be bidding farewell to the club this off-season as he has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A.
