As previously reported by the Siya crew, Marumo Gallants' enterprising winger Lesiba Nku is close to signing for DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns, with a medical reportedly lined up at Masandawana.
Sekhukhune United were initially in for the versatile player before Sundowns came in, and now there could be a twist in the tail of this transfer saga.
Siya sources have indicated that Sekhukhune could be back in with a better offer for Nku. It has to be seen whether that makes any difference to Sundowns' interest in the player.

Sekhukhune were believed to be the frontrunners to sign the Limpopo born player until Sundowns moved in late last week. A Siya source in the know and privy to the whole situation, has stated how Sekhukhune could potentially be offering a better personal deal to the player and his representatives compared to what the Brazilians could possibly be offering. "There were offers to the team and the player from Sundowns, but he had not signed the deal yet," said the Siya source.
The source added to the Siya crew that the Chloorkop deal is not yet sealed, so Sekhukhune could potentially still have a say on the matter.
"He was going for medical and fitness tests on Tuesday, the 27th of June. So, all could be finalised if he could pass those tests. However, the offer was R85,000 a month salary initially. And if he plays 10 and more games in his first season it could rise up to R150 000.
"However, he would also be getting a R25,000 win bonus if he plays four games in a row and they win all those games. Now, here is the twist, Sekhukhune United are back in the picture and they are offering him R100,000 a month with no conditions.
"His agent is talking to Sekhukhune and the talks are at an advanced stage. It will now all depend on the other issues in the contracts from both teams. But it's confusing for the player now as Sekhukhune were the first to show interest before Sundowns and now they are back with this offer.
"It's a big twist in the whole deal," the source said.
On the other hand, Sundowns can offer him CAF Champions League football with the African Super League, so one wonders if he's better off opting for the Brazilians anyway.
"Looking at the bigger picture, Sundowns have told him that he has the chance of playing in the biggest competition in Africa as well as the Super League," the source continued.
"While Sekhukhune will be playing in the CAF Confederation Cup in which he did very well with Marumo Gallants. As I have said, it's really confusing but Sekhukhune are determined to have him no matter what and at the end of it all, it's money that will talk the way I look at it," the source concluded.
The Siya crew's efforts to get comments from the two clubs as well as Nku's agent were unsuccessful at the time of preparing this story.
