Following Al Ahly's CAF Champions League final victory, Soccer Laduma can confirm that the record African champions are set to part ways with an ex-Mamelodi Sundowns attacker after a difficult stint at the club.

This past weekend, the Egyptian giants claimed a record-extending 11th Champions League title after a 1-1 draw in Casablanca ensured their aggregate victory over title holders Wydad Athletic Club in the tournament's final.
While members of the club hoisted the trophy up after the 3-2 aggregate win on the Stade Mohammed V pitch, one player who was not present for the festivities was Luis Miquissone.
In January, it was reported that the Mozambiquan international had his loan stint with Saudi Pro League side Abha cut short during the middle of the campaign.
The winger consequently returned to the Club of the Century, and because he was not registered with the team prior to the commencement of the 2022/23 season, he failed to feature under Al Ahly coach Marcel Koller after arriving back in Cairo.
A source close to the player has confirmed to Soccer Laduma that it is unlikely the relationship between the Egyptian Premier League giants and the attacker will continue.
The 27-year-old still has two years' remaining on his current deal in the Egyptian capital, but the same source revealed that talks have been scheduled for this week to discuss how the two parties can come to an amicable resolution regarding a contract termination.

While Miquissone was prolific during his time with Sundowns and Simba AC in Tanzania, a return to southern Africa is not on the cards, with the winger garnering interest from teams in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
