A new deal has been confirmed for Sibusiso 'Vila' Vilakazi as preparations are in overdrive for clubs ahead of the new season.
After spending a few weeks without a club since parting ways with TS Galaxy at the end of January, Vilakazi was given a lifeline to resurrect his career when he signed for Sekhukhune United in March.

The attacker managed to make six appearances in Babina Noko's DStv Premiership campaign and scored one goal.
The 33-year-old further made three appearances in the Nedbank Cup, including the final against Orlando Pirates in which he scored a goal on May 27 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium though his side lost 2-1.
For his progress, Vilakazi managed to impress Sekhukhune coach Brandon Truter who then recommended that he would like to have him in the squad for next season.
"Sibusiso Vilakazi is definitely staying with Sekhukhune United for another season. You must remember that when he joined the club in March he signed a short-term deal up to the end of the season. The club had an option to extend the contract if they felt they still needed him," said the source.

"The option was for one year and it has since been exercised by the club. There's a possibility of further extending the deal later on because he is a quality player who is in the club's plans as they hope to build from the progress of this past season after the team finished in the top eight and reached the final of the Nedbank Cup," the source added.
