Kaizer Chiefs are understood to be contemplating a possible replacement in the event that head coach Arthur Zwane parts ways with the club.

The Siya crew reported earlier this week that Zwane was set to have a crunch meeting with the Chiefs hierarchy where his future would be discussed and insiders at the time confirmed that an exit could not be ruled out.
The outcomes of the meeting has been kept under wraps; however, the Siya crew has been informed that whispers in the corridors at Naturena is that the club is considering current Mamelodi Sundowns senior coach Manqoba Mngqithi.
It is unclear what Mngqithi's role would be at the club and where Zwane fits into the equation at this stage, but insiders have confirmed that he is a strong contender for the club at this stage.
According to information made available to the Siya crew, Mngqithi will see his contract with Sundowns come to an end on June 30 and to date, there has been no word from either party on the coach's future.
"Every single year that he's had an option on his contract, we've waited until the right time to discuss it and the right time is coming. Contractually, Mamelodi Sundowns have until May to make that decision. I would be surprised if they did not make that decision earlier, for many reasons, because you don't want an unsettled person in your building. You also don't want speculation to get out into the media because all of it is speculation and rumours. So, I would think from both Mamelodi Sundowns and Manqoba's point of view, the sooner we can address this issue, the better. I think the right time will be before the end of this month," Mngqithi's agent Mike Makaab told Gagasi FM last month.
The Siya crew will keep you up to date with the latest happenings in Naturena.
