Musa Nyatama will move from a player to a coaching contract following his impressive work as interim coach at Swallows FC, chairman David Mogashoa confirmed to the Siya crew.
Nyatama, who was a player just last season, has stepped in as an interim coach on more than one occasion this season at Swallows, while working on getting his coaching badges. Swallows comfortably finished eighth on the DStv Premiership, without worrying about relegation in the final few matches of the season.

Last season the club survived via the play offs, but this season is a different story, which will give them more time to properly plan for next season.
While talks of a new contract have not officially begun, Mogashoa revealed that he has assured Nyatama that he will be the head coach of the Dube Birds once the 2023/24 campaign gets underway. Nyatama finished the season strong by winning the DStv Premiership Coach of the Month award for May.
"He will get a new contract as a head coach. Remember he was still running on a player's contract, even though he was doing his qualifications. But his contract was that of a player, so now we have to give him a coach's contract," Mogashoa said to the Siya crew.
"We have not started yet (with negotiations), but I have reassured him that he will be the head coach. We are having that meeting on Thursday."
Mogashoa revealed that Nyatama will identify targets for the new season to bolster the squad.
"I've left that up to him, because I don't want to be in a situation where I bring in players who don't fit into his plans. I've left that up to him. We've got a couple of players whose contracts are coming to an end, so he needs to make decisions on whether he is keeping them or he is letting them go and we bring in new players.

"I know he is going to be spending a lot of time at the play-offs, of ABC (Motsepe League) and Motsepe Foundation (Championship), to make sure that he gets players. If you can look at how football is now, it's going at a very fast pace, so he needs players who can match our competitors. If you can't, then you will be left behind."
