Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has made a massive request regarding Lionel Messi amid rumours of a potential return to the club.

The prolific Polish forward, who 22 top-flight goals in this campaign, is on course to finish as the winner of this season's Pichichi prize – LaLiga's Golden Boot – having helped the Blaugrana end a four-year wait for a league title.
Having now enjoyed success in his debut season in Spain, it seems the 35-year-old wants to win more trophies with the club and thinks the best way to do that is by adding Messi to the roster, with the Warsaw native having arrived in Catalonia a year after the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner's departure as a free agent before joining Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, with the Argentina forward's contract in the French capital set to expire at the end of the campaign, there have been rumours of his potential return to the five-time European champions.

Lewandowski has now divulged his wish concerning the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner.
"I want to play with Messi here in Barcelona. He has changed his style in recent years. It is easier to play with players who understand football as deeply as he does," the Poland captain told Meczyki.
"Messi's playing style has evolved in recent years. He thinks differently, and positions himself differently on the pitch. He has a unique sense. We would definitely use it.
"Where will I put it on the pitch? You'll have to ask Xavi about that."

The ex-Bayern Munich striker's sentiment is in line with Barca president Joan Laporta's about the club's desire to have Messi return, but whether or not the move comes to fruition remains to be seen.
