A source in Tanzania told the crew that Yanga are potentially also interested in Khama Billiat from Amakhosi and Ranga Chivaviro from Marumo Gallants.
"Actually, the president of Yanga has made it clear that he wants Mayo. He has seen him play and he believes he is a great striker and young, which is good for the future and continuity of the team. He has really been speaking about the boy and he will make sure he gets him," the source told Soccer Laduma.
When the Siya crew contacted Yanga President Hersi Ally Said, he discussed the club's interest in the 25-year-old, stating that an official approach has not yet been made.
"It's not a secret, he is a very good striker. We like him. We want him. But as of now, there is nothing official from us to his team yet, but it's true, we are looking into that," Said said, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
