Spurs are at the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship and need to win their game against the University of Pretoria on Sunday to confirm their return to Mzansi's topflight after five years since their relegation.

With fellow promotion chasers Casric Stars visiting All Stars in Tsakane and Polokwane City hosting Pretoria Callies in one of the other eagerly-awaited matches in the second tier, Spurs are aware that that the club cannot leave anything to chance at Athlone Stadium this weekend to avoid going to the play-offs.

"Obviously, we wish them good luck, important match for them. If they can win that game, they can potentially be promoted back to the PSL and it will be great to have another team from Cape Town in the PSL. That makes pre-seasons a lot easier when you have that. So, we obviously wish them all the best," said Tinkler, speaking to journalists.
