The Siya crew has been led to believe that the Mamelodi Sundowns management is not closed on the idea of a possible exit for attacker Gift Motupa.
The gangly forward has struggled with game-time and injury since he arrived at Chloorkop almost three seasons ago and is in a crucial phase of his contract with the club.
The former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits man is about to complete three seasons with the Brazilians and the club has an option to extend his deal.
The options in his contract are understood to be two one-year extensions, so the Tshwane giants are expected to make a decision, with the likely outcome set to be an exit, though it's unclear at this stage if it will be permanently on or loan.
SuperSport United are understood to have been interested in the player before the start of the season and could look into bringing him on board, with Thamsanqa Gabuza and Thabang Sibanyoni expected to leave them at the end of the campaign.
Another player who looks set to depart Downs at the end of the campaign, possibly on loan, is Katlego Mohamme.
The former national U20 defender has not made a single appearance for the champions this season and Soccer Laduma understands that his agent, Mike Makaab, will be looking at new possibilities for the left-sided centre-back for next season, to ensure that he gets game-time and does not spend most of his time watching from the stands.
