A crucial update has been provided on George Maluleka after he collapsed on the field during a match at the weekend.
As AmaZulu went down 1-0 against Swallows FC on Saturday, Maluleka collapsed on the field and medical personnel had to be called to assist the player after he appeared to have been struggling with breathing.

The 34-year-old was taken away from the field in an ambulance.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star has taken to social media to provide an update on his condition.

"I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their concern, care and support during this time. I am stable and recovering well in the good care of my family. Words cannot describe my genuine gratitude for all the support and care I received both on and off the field. It has meant more to me than you will ever know and I look forward to being back on the field soon," the midfielder posted on Instagram.
