With Al Ahly star midfielder Aliou Dieng expected to leave for Europe at the end of the season, the Egyptian giants have reportedly found a replacement for the Mali international.

Earlier this month, Soccer Laduma made a list of seven stars that were currently plying their trade in the CAF Champions League whom we deemed ready to take the next step to play in Europe and now, according to KingFut, one of them, Dieng, is expected to make the move.
The 25-year-old joined the Club of the Century in 2019 and has since played 161 games. During that time, the midfielder has won six trophies in the Egyptian capital, which included two Champions League victories under the tutelage of Pitso Mosimane.
Ahly seem to already be planning for life without the robust midfielder, with Foot d'Afrique stating that the record African champions are monitoring Ivorian youngster Zougrana Mohamed. The 21-year-old has been largely impressive for ASEC Mimosas, leading the west African giants to a CAF Confederations Cup quarter-final berth this season.

Couple that with his exploits at the 2022 African Nations Championship where he featured three times for the Elephants and the Cairo-based outfit see Mohamed as a potential replacement for Dieng. The same report suggests that the player's agent has mentioned Ahly's interest, but no formal offer has been made.
