Benzema's current deal in Madrid runs out in June, but he is said to be close to signing a one-year extension at the club he joined in 2009.
It has been an injury-stricken 2022/23 campaign so far for the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner, though he has not slowed down in the goals department.

Romano reports that it is "just a matter of time" before the Spanish side announce Benzema's renewal.
