"We have this principle that we are driving called sport tourism. The sport tourism in a sense that major events in the municipality have proven to bring in wanted revenue, be it at the level of hospitality - the hotels, restaurants and other supporting establishments. We are seeing this upsurge ad we are supporting the whole notion of recovery of our local economy be delving into sport tourism, hence we have signed an agreement with Kaizer Chiefs," Sebaka said, speaking exclusively to the Siya crew.
"The support base they have in Polokwane is quite commendable, hence we have them coming through to Polokwane. This is not the first relationship we've had with Kaizer Chiefs. We had a relationship from 2011 to 2015. It has been tested before and it has worked. It's really not something new. It's part of our key strategy to ensure our local economy recovers."
