With Andile Jali's Mamelodi Sundowns contract fast running out, his coach Rulani Mokwena has provided the latest update with regards to the midfielder's future.

Jali will see his current contract with the Brazilians come to an end in June 2023, which means the Matatiele – born midfielder, technically is at liberty to sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice.
However, Jali remains an integral part of the Sundowns setup both on and off the field.
At 32, he assumes a leadership role in the Downs dressing room, while he is still delivering on the field of play with 12 appearances in all competitions for the star-studded squad this season.
Now, with Jali in limbo over his future, Mokwena has given an update on the player's contract situation."Andile Jali's new contract, that department is not really a technical department, but the club is speaking to his camp and the talks are ongoing because he's important for us," he told journalists following his club's win over Richards Bay. "You've seen in the last two games he's played. He's come on and he's done exceptionally well. He's a great leader. He's a great footballer and he's important for us. So, as I said even before, once there's an update, the club will speak.Jali joined the Brazilians from Belgian outfit KVC Oostende in 2018 and has made a total of 136 appearances for Sundowns in that time.
