With questions as to who will bankroll the CAF Super League, the general secretary of Africa's football governing body has denied any monetary involvement from FIFA in the competition.
FIFA President Set To Make Massive Change To World Cup?
Earlier this year, CAF president Patrice Motsepe, announced the launch of the federation's Super League.
With the competition set to begin in just under a year, many questions remain unanswered about how the tournament will be constructed.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the CAF Super League is how the competition will be funded.
Motsepe has on several occasions mentioned the millions of dollars that will be invested into the competition, as well as for its participants.
At his latest press conference, the billionaire businessman disclosed that each side competing in the tournament will receive $2 million (R34 million) to cover transfer costs and logistics.
When Soccer Laduma asked CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba if FIFA would be funding the Super League in any way, or if the money was being generated commercially, the executive member said: "[The money] comes commercially.
"No FIFA, this money will come commercially, because the Super League triggers a lot of interest.
"All the industries want to be a part of it, so this money will come from there."

Much has been made of FIFA and Gianni Infantino's involvement in the genesis of the Super League after federations such as UEFA rejected a version of it for their clubs, but CAF insisted that the partnership with Infantino and football's world governing body is necessary in order to make African football more money.
