The Real Madrid forward was ruled out of the tournament due to an injury he picked up in preparation for the tournament in Qatar.
Benzema, 34, is believed to have made a full recovery, with rumours suggesting the 2022 Ballon d'Or winner could make a surprise return to the camp for the final against the Albiceleste on Sunday.
Head coach Didier Deschamps, however, offered a defiant response to whether or not the striker could be back for this coming weekend's showdown after the question was posed to him following their 2-0 semi-final victory over Morocco.
"I don't really want to answer that question," he said, according to Fox Sports.
"Next question. I do apologise."
Benzema's return to the Les Bleus set-up would have been considered a major boost for the world champions, although many believe Olivier Giroud, who has become his country's all-time leading goalscorer, has a better on-field relationship with Kylian Mbappe.
