After the earlier fears that Orlando Pirates could be disrupted by injuries in their preparations to face Kaizer Chiefs in the Carling Black Label Cup, there is hope for Jose Riveiro's team after all.
Having lost to Amakhosi in the DStv Premiership Soweto Derby at the end of last month, the Buccaneers are hoping to get one back over their rivals but there have been doubts about some of the stars who have had injuries, including defender and captain Innocent Maela and Nkosinathi Sibisi.

Maela missed the MTN8 final against AmaZulu at the weekend due to injury, while Sibisi was withdrawn in the early stages of the match after picking up an injury.
With Pirates set to play against Chiefs in the first semi-final of the Carling Black Label Cup on Saturday, there is positive news on both Maela and Sibisi who are expected to be fully recovered for the eagerly awaited clash.

As voted for by the fans, Maela is expected to be in the starting line-up for Bucs alongside Olisa Ndah in central defence, while Sibisi could make it to the substitutes' bench depending on his readiness.
Meanwhile, Thembinkosi Lorch remains the only notable absentee for Bucs as he is still undergoing rehabilitation for the knee injury he suffered in August.
