The celebrations for Motaung's birthday were subdued on Sunday, with Chippa United having spoilt the party a day earlier.
The Chilli Boys managed to snatch all three points with a come-from-behind victory against Amakhosi thanks to goals from Siphelele Luthuli and Ronald Pfumbidzai.
After the match, Zwane revealed his disappointment at the fact that his side failed to gift Motaung, who has last seen his senior side lift a trophy seven years ago, a memorable gift on the field of play. "I'm more than disappointed. In terms of the results, yes, I think this could have been a very good present for the Chairman, more especially playing at home and we were on a roll in terms of not losing games at home, that's another thing that makes me disappointed and you know when you score first and you know its not your day in terms of the way you want to exert yourself, and you get another opportunity, you can see that at any given time you can score the second one and the keeper made a good save from Caleb's shot and from there they equalized and got the second goal so I can simply say it wasn't to be," he told journalists in a post-match press conference.
"We could have done better in terms of taking our chances and we could have given the Chairman a very nice present."
"I'm disappointed. I hate to lose, more especially games like this where we were in control of it and we only have ourselves to blame. Like I said, it happens for a reason. The Chairman has been in the game for many years and as much as I don't understand, I don't think he's in a position where he doesn't understand, I think he's lived football for his entire life and unfortunately as a coach, I wanted to give him a good present when we meet on Monday – but I'm really disappointed, but we'll get it right at some point," he explained further.Read More: Confirmed: Yeye Upgrades His Coaching Badges
