The 29-year-old has been out for close to two months now and while there has been no official word from the club on the timeframe, indications are that the star is still unavailable for competitive football action.
Whether or not Lorch will be back before the World Cup remains to be seen, as Bucs will be left with two matches in the league against Golden Arrows and Kaizer Chiefs, respectively, as well as their MTN8 campaign before the break.
In his latest update on Lorch, Pirates coach Jose Riveiro was reluctant to provide too much detail on the player's current situation.

Lorch made five appearances, four starts and came on as a substitute once, before picking up an injury against SuperSport United in August.
Last season, the former PSL Footballer of the Season made 15 league appearances and scored one goal while he bagged six assists, having been delayed by shoulder injury earlier in the campaign.
