Having featured in two matches already, Bongani Zungu has given an update on his current fitness levels in what will be a congested period for Mamelodi Sundowns.

Initially, Sundowns co-coach Manqoba Mngqithi said it would take about three months before fans see Zungu in action, following his big-money return to the club in August.
The player had not been involved in any kind of pre-season following his exit from French Ligue 2 side Amiens.
However, the 29-year-old has fast tracked that process and has featured in matches against AmaZulu and more recently, against Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 semi-final first leg.
Speaking to the club's media department after the match, Zungu said he is still playing catch up to the rest of his teammates in terms of his fitness, although he is confident of reaching his level best.
"I've been busy catching up with my fitness and slowly but surely, I am getting there and the more minutes I get, the more confidence I will have," Zungu said.

He also touched on his side's approach in the MTN8 second leg against Pirates, which will be played in Polokwane later this month.
"In the second leg, we are going to approach the game quite the same. I feel like it's 0-0, but we just need to make sure that they don't score and I'm sure we can get a goal or two. I'd like to say to our supporters, they must continue to support us and in Polokwane they should come in numbers because its going to be our home game," he said.
