In-form Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has broken his silence after Brazil head coach Tite dropped him for the Selecao's latest squad, just two months before the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Despite having been given regular game time at Arsenal since his switch from Manchester City earlier this year, Jesus has been left out of Tite's most recent Brazil selection for their upcoming matches.
The 25-year-old has scored four goals and assisted a further three in just seven Premier League games since the season started, but was overlooked for an international call-up in this break, with Tite favouring the likes of Richarlison, Raphinha and Antony.
Jesus has also represented his country on an impressive 56 occasions since his debut in 2016, scoring 19 goals, although he did struggle at the 2018 World Cup where he failed to find the back of the net in five appearances.
Speaking following Arsenal's league win over Brentford at the weekend, the ex-City forward insisted he will continue working to make it back into the Brazil fold.
"There was (contact), after the call-up, yes," Gabriel Jesus told ESPN Brasil.
"I respect the coach's decision a lot, I respect Tite, the entire staff.
"As I said, I'm Brazilian, I'll always root for the team. And I also respect the other players, who have a lot of quality.
"I'll keep doing my best to have the opportunity again."

Jesus joined the Gunners for a reported fee of €50 million (R884 million) after claiming four league medals under Pep Guardiola in Manchester, where he picked up another six domestic trophies too.
