Why Nurkovic Joined Galaxy
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic's move to TS Galaxy could offer him a bigger chance to revive his career than Cape Town City and Raja Casablanca, the two clubs he trained with before being signed by the Rockets.
Nurkovic has been without a team since his contractual dispute with Royal AM from the beginning of last season, where he could not even make an official appearance after he joined as a free agent from the Glamour Boys.

The Serbian striker was linked with a move to the Citizens after he trained with the Cape Town side in the off-season and later travelled up North to Raja Casablanca with the hope of landing a contract but things also did not work out with Josef Zinnbauer's side.
However, five matches into the new DStv Premiership campaign, the Rockets recently announced that they have signed the forward popularly known as 'Kokota Piano'.
The 31-year-old has revealed the reason why he could not join both City and the Green Eagles.
"I trained with them (Cape Town City) for two weeks, everything was good from my side, we just could not agree on personal terms," Nurkovic said on Metro FM Sports.
"Similar thing (with Raja Casablanca), the coaching staff (former Orlando Pirates coaching duo, Josef Zinnbauer and Fadlu Davids) wanted me there, they knew me from South Africa, obviously they have been here.
"I was with them in Saudi for a pre-season camp for 16 days, we could not agree on terms and I came back to South Africa," he said.
The Rockets offer Nurkovic a much better chance of reviving his career as the former Chiefs striker will be a direct replacement for Djakaridja Traore, who was sold to Turkish Super Lig side Istanbulspor in the current transfer window.

Galaxy have also converted Bernard Parker into a midfielder, which means Nurkovic will most likely be a first choice forward.
At City, however, the Serbian was going to face tough competition with Khanyisa Mayo, new signing Jo Paciencia, Bertrand Mani, Juan Zapata (and recently Thabiso Kutumela).
And also after a year of not playing competitively, the demands at Raja were not going to offer him the patience he wanted and chances to regain his match fitness before he can fully start competing at the same level as other players.
