It's not every day that a teenager occupies a seat on the bench of a club as big as Moroka Swallows; however, Steve Komphela has been full of praise for his 18-year-old technical team member.

Stories of teenage football sensations are common; however, that of teenage performance analysts, much less so.
The Birds bucked the trend in July this year, when they appointed 18-year-old Yardaan Valodia as the club's performance analyst, a job he has carried out excellently so far.
He has earned the praise of his head coach Steve Komphela, who has been impressed with the prodigy's work.
"At 18 years old and doing opposition Analysis and Profiling. Like father like son. Youth Development is not only to the players but the support staff as well. The world is your oyster," Komphela wrote on his Instagram page.
The young Valodia, it appears, is an apple that did not fall too far from the tree.
His father, Goolam, has been an integral part of the Mamelodi Sundowns performance analysis team for the last 13 years.
He has served under coach Pitso Mosimane, Manqoba Mngqithi as well as Rulani Mokwena.
