Comments
Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has slammed Cassius Mailula's agent after the striker's move to Major League League side, Toronto FC.
The 22-year-old joined the struggling Canadian outfit in July but has only managed to make two appearances in the MLS, both of them from the bench.
Mailula hasn't been called up to the national team since his move to the MLS and Broos feels the player's agent is at fault, saying the agent didn't consider how difficult it would be for the young forward to break into the side.
Broos also thinks that Mailula should've stayed an extra season at Downs and with the MLS ending soon, before the AFCON, the youngster has effectively lost a season.
Here's how the readers reacted to the "Broos Slams Mailula's Agent After MLS Move" story:
"The old man has spoken," says Shikabala.
"For the first time, I agree with you madala," says crronaldomphoza.
"Rick Flair did warn against a hasty move and most of us did not pay attention to his advice. We were so wrong," says INBOX VAT ALLES.
"I agree with you there Broos," says Skyvodka.
"No lies detected," says Snowman.

Broos was brutally honest in his assessment of Mamelodi Sundowns' missed attempts at a CAF Champions League title since 2016, despite their domestic dominance.
The straight-shooting Belgian mentioned the lack of competition in the DStv Premiership for Sundowns has meant that they often fall short when facing better opponents on the continent.
Broos also predicted Sundowns to walk the league once again this season, as Masandawana remain unbeaten, with an eight-point gap at the top of the table.
Here's what the readers had to say in the "Broos: Why Downs Aren't Winning The Champions League Again" story:
"The truth hurts. We all know that. Sundowns do not understand how it helps them and the country to have a competitive league. Khoza and Motaung had to compromise their market dominance (by agreeing to have each team taking its gate takings in its home matches, for example), because they realised that the league was very weak.
"Sundowns, on the other hand, in their misconceived idea of destroying Pirates and Chiefs, are weakening the league and thus weakening the national team. The recent case in point is their signing of Mashego, just to stop him going to Chiefs," says msanisto.
"It feels so bad when people are so jealous of Sundowns but when it's Man City getting beaten by Wolves, nobody speaks negatively about it.
"We are used to critics, and they make us work hard every time because we are running our own marathon not to satisfy people who we know they hate our success, because their beloved teams are eating in the dustbins with rats," says Cutter.
"But they have been playing against those 'strong' teams for how long now? Why are they not improving and winning CAF? They are not good enough, period," says Onside.
"Same as all the PSL teams, they have been playing against Sundowns for how long now, are they not good enough to challenge Sundowns and win the league? as per your comment above," replies Skyvodka.
"Share tactics with the Sundowns coach, Broos, as to how they should progress to the Champions League final and win it.
"Also share ideas with the Cry babies FC coach and the Mighty Orlando Pirates coach as to how they should challenge Sundowns," says Skyvodka
"Broos is talking nonsense. He must go improve the Jupiter Pro League before he can talk about us. The quality of the league is not the best. The Belgium National team is only good because most players are playing abroad not in Belgium.
"Google states that it is currently ranked 8th in the UEFA rankings of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five-years. To date, Belgium is the only national team in the world to top the FIFA ranking without having won a World Cup or a continental trophy," says melore66.
"I think you're missing the point here. How many of our South African players are playing their football abroad and are representing our country, a handful I suppose.
"In England most of the top teams are being dominated by foreign players and a few from England are abroad. Then check their performance in Euro, World cup," replies admahlalela.
"His statement is far from the truth, just rubbish. He likes critiquing anything local," says thabani.dk15.
"Are you a Sundowns supporter or a national team coach. It seems as if you are here to disrespect our league. Watch your mouth madala," says user908858.
"Sundowns killed the competition long time ago, let them rule the PSL and be a punching bag for other countries, who play in competitive leagues," says mamishelembe80.
"This madala's reasoning... Let's check if they've been knocked out because of inferiority, not combining etc. The last I checked; they were knocked out on away goals without losing a match until knock-out stage.
"You need luck in football as well, even if you play dominant or good football. Uyaphapha lomkhulu, how's the Belgian League?" asks says makausemakause53.
"The reason is simple, this time around it's difficult for them to get any favours as the first Champions league they won was not legit... so with their former President now at helm as CAF President it'll be too obvious if they can get the same favour, they got in 2016," says ghettovillage411.
"Say it coach, and this also makes it difficult for you to select players for Bafana Bafana. By the way, what position are they according to FIFA rankings," says lebutimokoena.
"That's true, but how can they get strong opponents if they are still buying every player who raises his hand," says mmusiarchie.
"To be the best team, you have to buy the best players. No one stopped your team from buying every player raising their hands," replies bhekilekhuleni6.
"They want Sundowns to go for free agents like their team which won't happen, all the best teams in the world buy quality players every season and we will continue to do so," says Dominate-downs.
