As reported by the Siya crew, Mamelodi Sundowns have set their sights on Konyaspor midfielder Lebogang Manyama as a potential replacement for Khama Billiat, who could see himself out of Chloorkop in June.
Despite his great form and contribution since his return from injury in January, contract talks between the Zimbabwean player and his current team are still ongoing. Therefore, this opens a room for Masandawana to assess his options in the meantime should Billiat exit the club at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Manyama has been battling for game time at his new club since joining them in September 2017. The 27-year old shone in the colours of Cape Town City last season, and walked away with the Player of the Season award at the Absa Premiership's annual awards ceremony.
Supporters Club members have reacted to the news of Manyama possibly becoming a Brazilian next season; here's what some of them had to say:
"Definitely the mighty Sundowns material this Manyama boy, come home buddy, we are waiting for you with open arms and hugs. Your blood is yellow. #kby4life." – Love-downs
"We will see how big spenders can sign Lebogang?" – Iminald Khosified
"No need to bring Manyama on board. Sirino is there and when given enough game time, he is going to do wonders. A month is more than enough, and we would've forgotten about Billiat." – SOCCERLYST
"Manyama should remain in Turkey, train harder and be humble because coming back to the PSL won't do him any good. Especially returning to Sundowns. Abuze (He must ask) Ndlovu, Zuma, Mbesuma, Tso Vilakazi, Lebese and Ngele, just to name a few." – Unkel d
Do you think Downs should continue chasing Manyama's signature?
