Kaizer Chiefs played to their 10th draw of the season against Bidvest Wits last weekend, placing them in fourth position on the log with 31 points after 20 games played.
With just 10 more games to go before the 2017/18 season ends, Amakhosi supporters are in panic as their hopes of contending for the league title have seemingly been dented. Understandably so as they are now seven points adrift of log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, who have managed to keep themselves locked at the top for some time now.
Supporters Club caught up with one of its members who is a Chiefs fan, Sylvester Nkosi, who vented his frustrations following the recent two recent draws by his beloved team.
Lerato: Ola Khosi, long time. Let's jump on it. What are we talking about today?
Sylvester: Eish, Steve Komphela and his endless draws. As matter of fact, the way I have lost faith in that man, I have even lost count of draws we've played this season. It is really frustrating. Why play with so many defenders in a single match? You know in every match, it's like you get two different teams playing, because Chiefs always come into the game in the second half. We can't carry on like that, it is clearly costing us. There are too many players he's keeping on the bench, for what reasons? Only he knows. Now he's crying about Zulu's injury. It doesn't make sense why he's keeping Pule Ekstein on the bench, maybe he's got issues with him. I pray that he doesn't win the Nedbank Cup because knowing bab'Motaung (Mr Motaung Sr), he will give him another contract.
How do you think the number of draws played by Chiefs to date have affected the team?
