Lamontville Golden Arrows are currently sitting at the top of the PSL log. Although they lost their first game 3-1 to Orlando Pirates, they have managed to redeem themselves since. Clinton Larsen's men will want to continue their winning ways, and their supporters are impressed by their beloved team's performances.
Supporters Club caught up with Arrows fan AS and discussed his desires for his team this season.
Beaver Nazo: AS, how are you?
AS: All good, Beaver!
BN: Your team Golden Arrows have had a good start to the season. Your thoughts?
AS: We are very happy. Although we started off on the wrong foot against Pirates, we managed to redeem ourselves and bounced back.
BN: How long do you think Arrows will maintain the top spot, and how will they fare overall this season?
AS: I think we will be in the top three teams. I'm very happy with the way we play and the coach knows the team now.
BN: Arrows welcome SuperSport United at Princess Magogo Stadium tonight. Your thoughts?
AS: Hayi, that's our game, we have to win it. I know SuperSport are a good side, but we managed to win away and those were crucial games.
BN: What does football mean to the people of KZN?
AS: It's still a problem for us (Arrows) because we have no sponsors and people are of the opinion that we might not sustain.
BN: Any message for the team?
AS: Ja, all I can say is we have to take it where we left off, especially now that we are playing at home. I would also like to thank and congratulate our management, especially Mama Manto Madlala because she does everything she can with the little resources she has.
BN: Thanks for your time, and good luck for the season ahead.
AS: Thanks, my brother.
Do you think Abafana Bes'thende can keep their spot at the top of the table?
