SuperSport United are interested in holding onto Zimbabwean goalkeeper George Chigova, the Siya crew has learnt.
The net minder returned to the club for a second spell in 2020 after Polokwane City were relegated from the elite division and has served as a second-choice shot-stopper, as was the case in his first stint with the Tshwane outfit.

Chigova's contract with Matsatsantsa is due to expire at the end of June and it's understood that the club is more than happy to keep the Harare-born star for a long period. At this stage, it's believed that the player could extend his deal by another two years.
At 32, Soccer Laduma has been informed that SuperSport believe that the big goalkeeper still has a lot to offer, as he will serve as back-up to Ricardo Goss, who is on a two-year loan deal from archrivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Siya crew contacted Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews and he confirmed that they are interested in holding onto the player beyond the end of the current season.
"We are in discussions over a renewal," he said in a brief response, without wanting to reveal too much. The Randburg-based side, meanwhile, are believed to have reached an agreement to extend Bradley Grobler's contract for another season.
As previously reported by this publication, the club has been looking to extend the striker's contract and it appears all is done, and an announcement will be made soon.
