Word reaching the Siya crew is that Mamelodi Sundowns' Tshwane rivals, SuperSport United, are looking at the possibility of signing experienced midfielder Andile Jali.
Jali is currently not training with the Brazilians at Chloorkop, having been away from the club after he allegedly arrived under the influence of alcohol. With his contract coming to an end in June, it's believed both he and the club are already in a phase of preparing for a separation once the midfielder's deal comes to an end in under three months.
Matsatsantsa could possibly qualify for the CAF Champions League or Confederation Cup, should they finish second or third, and Soccer Laduma has it on good authority that the club will be bolstering the squad with a few experienced players to ensure they are able to do well on the continent and still compete in the DStv Premiership next season.
In Gavin Hunt's first season back at the side, they have consistently been in the top five after a slow start to the campaign, and it's understood that they want to put themselves in a better position next season to challenge Sundowns.
And it's believed that Jali is one of the players that have been discussed as a possible signing for next season. It's understood that Hunt would be open to working with the former Orlando Pirates star, but management will have the final say on the matter.
He won't come cheap and if you factor in Hunt's recent comments where he said even the Downs kit man is getting paid more than his players, then you wonder how SuperSport will get such a deal over the line… but expect anything in the game of football!
