"I thought Nyiko Mobbie was fantastic for us, we use more as a wing-back, I thought he combined his defensive and attacking duties very well," Arendse told SuperSport when asked about the new players.
"So this game is always a big test especially for new players coming and I thought they didn't disappoint.
"I feel for the players because they really worked their socks off over the 90 minutes,"
Arendse bemoaned the errors that SuperSport made in the second half against team of Sundowns' quality.
"You know when you don't have possession of the ball it's very difficult and Sundowns is a team that likes possession of the ball and sometimes when you give them too much of it, they can hurt you," he added.
"I thought our structure was really good in the first-half, as a unit I think we were very good. There were times where Sundowns moved us out of possession, especially in the first-half and then one or two individual errors.
"When you give a team like Sundowns that in the game they will hurt you and unfortunately that's what happened tonight."
