Bafana Bafana host Mozambique in an international friendly at the Mbombela Stadium on Thursday night.
International Friendly
Teams: Bafana Bafana v Mozambique
Date: 17 November 2022
Venue: Mbombela Stadium
Bafana are preparing for the resumption of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next year and were last in action in September after thrashing Sierra Leone 4-0 and edged Botswana 1-0 in friendly matches.
Hugo Broos announced changes in his 23-man squad, as Lyle Foster, Thibang Phete and Mihlali Mayambela were ruled out with injuries and have been replaced by Taariq Fielies, Bongokuhle Hlongwane and Bathusi Aubaas.
Mozambique, on the other hand, have named an all locally-based squad, with the likes of Edmilson Dove and Elias Pelembe left out.
That is because the Mambas are preparing for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament which will take place in January next year in Algeria.
The last time the sides met was in the COSAFA Cup in July this year, where the Mambas edged Bafana on penalties after a goalless draw in the quarter-finals.
Here's how they line up:
Bafana Bafana: Williams, Mobbie, Kekana, De Reuck, Modiba, Timm, Mokoena, Zwane, Hlongwane, Saleng, Lepasa
Subs: Buthelezi, Xulu, Morena, Lakay, Sekgota, Mayo, Bathusi, Fielies, Msani, Blom, Le Roux
