"For now his future is not clear. There are no talks between the club and the player at the moment. As you are maybe aware, his current contract is ending in June this year and with no talks yet his future hangs in the balance. We just have to wait until the end of the season but it doesn't look promising at all," the insider told the Siya crew.
A second Siya source suggested that the departure of coach Gavin Hunt could also negatively impact Hlatshwayo's prospects.
"You know different coaches need or want different players and knowing that coach Gavin is the one who recommended the signing of Tyson from Orlando Pirates then this could be his end as well. So, for now it's not clear if his contract will be renewed since there are no talks yet," the second insider believes.

A third insider close to SuperSport United provided a different perspective, informing the Siya crew that the club would be keen to extend Tyson's contract and revealed why the talks are delayed.
"The club was waiting to see how he recovers from injuries and then to offer him a one-year deal. They believe he can still contribute to the club for at least one more season as his experience is vital to the youngsters," said the third insider.
The 35-year-old former Bafana Bafana captain joined SuperSport United in 2022 from Orlando Pirates on a two-year deal, which was later extended by a year. However, injuries have troubled Hlatshwayo this season, limiting him to just a few appearances in the Betway Premiership.
Soccer Laduma reached out to SuperSport United CEO Stan Matthews for comment, but no response was received at the time of publishing.
