After helping Stellenbosch FC turn their campaign around with his impressive performances, Nhlanhla Mgaga could be nearing the end of his time with the Cape Winelands outfit as interest in his services keeps growing.
The midfielder, according to sources, has been monitored by several clubs in the DStv Premiership, including the Big Three of Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, barley a year after he joined Stellies from relegated Baroka FC at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
Having amassed 25 appearances so far this season, including a memorable Nedbank Cup journey that saw the side narrowly miss out on a final berth, Mgaga has had his potential suitors showing interest in his services as the current season is nearing an end.
Though the 26-year-old is still contracted to Stellies for two more years, the club is open to listening to offers for him with a view of cashing in for the right price, according to sources in the know.
"He has been key for them this season, but in the current economic climate, the club will be open to selling Mgaga. The player is aware of the plan and it's just a matter of deciding on it at the right time and after getting a suitable offer. A move at the end of the season cannot be ruled out at this stage," said a source.
