News reaching the Siya crew is that Steve Komphela has emerged as a candidate for the Sekhukhune United coaching job, as indicated by sources in the know.
Sekhukhune finished the season with interim coach MacDonald Makhubedu in charge following the club's decision to place head coach Lehlohonolo Seema on 'Special Leave' two weeks ago with two games remaining for the season.

Makhubedu has managed to lead the team to fourth place on the standings – their highest ever finish in the top flight since the club's promotion in 2021.
According to sources, Seema is unlikely to be reinstated to his position, with the club expected to assemble a new-look technical team for next season as part of the plans for further progress.
It is believed that Seema and the club are in negotiations about their contractual matters before they could officially part ways.
Meanwhile, sources have revealed how Komphela who re-joined Golden Arrows in March, has emerged as a candidate for the Babina Noko role.
Komphela has managed to improve Abafana Bes'thende by leading them to a ninth place finish in the DStv Premiership, having joined the side sitting in 12th place.
"Steve Komphela has emerged as a candidate for a coaching position at Sekhukhune United. It's still early though as the club hasn't even announced yet if they are parting ways with the coach (Seema). It remains a suspension for now although indications are that it could be heading towards the direction of parting ways," said the source.

"Komphela is a good coach whose experience in the game and ability to motivate and improve players cannot be ignored. Look at what he has done at Arrows in a short space of time and it's those qualities that clubs look for in coaches nowadays. But it will all depend on the coach's contract with Arrows and the other candidates that Sekhukhune will be getting before the pre-season," the source said.
