Mamelodi Sundowns are showing interest in an Mzansi star that is currently with Bafana Bafana in the COSAFA Cup in Durban, the Siya crew has been informed.
Despite being strongly linked with Kaizer Chiefs in recent times, Thabo Cele remained in Poland where he has been playing for Radomiak Radom since 2021.

The midfielder was in coach Morena Ramoreboli's starting line-up as Bafana opened their COSAFA Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw against Namibia at the King Zwelithini Stadium last night, with the KwaMashu-born star finishing the tie as the Man of the Match.
The Siya crew recently reported that there was a big possibility for Cele to stay in Poland for another season after his club Radiomak appeared to be ready to exercise the option in his contract, following a good season.
However, news reaching the Siya crew is that Downs are showing interest in the 26-year-old as the defending champions have started reinforcing the squad for the 2023/24 season, with indications that the Brazilians will be monitoring his progress in the COSAFA Cup to make a decision.

"Sundowns are monitoring Thabo Cele. There is interest from the club to possibly bring the player to Chloorkop in the not-so-distant future," said the source.
Chiefs had two unsuccessful attempts to sign the KZN Academy product, the Siya crew understands, with the central midfielder believed to be open to a return to Mzansi should a good offer come his way.
