Out-of-favour Maritzburg United winger Philani Zulu is believed to be a target for CAF Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 24-year-old is currently involved in a contractual dispute with Maritzburg, and has been sidelined since September this year.
Zulu has featured in just three of the club's encounters since the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, which has hampered his progress with the Team of Choice.

However, the player's contract with the side will be coming to an end in June next year, and indications are that Maritzburg are not keen on extending the player's stay.
In Soccer Laduma issue number 1003, it was reported that a source had revealed that Sundowns are interested in the player. However, the club's chairman, Farook Kadodia, has stated that there is no offer for the player as yet.
"Not as yet. From Sundowns? No, no, no," Kadodia told Soccer Laduma.
"Look, at the moment there is no solution as yet, but the boy will be on transfer. He will be moving to a new club in January. Let's do a deal and then we can talk about it."
Maritzburg will face Bidvest Wits in their last league encounter of the year on Tuesday, 20 December, and it remains to be seen whether or not the player's situation at the club will change.
