Orlando Pirates DDC Captain Kgwadi Molepo Set for First Team Promotion
Orlando Pirates are still looking at defensive cover with injuries having depleted their backline. Currently, they have Thapelo Xoki, Olisa Ndah, and Sandile Mthethwa all out with injuries.
Insiders close to the club have indicated that the club is looking at promoting DDC captain Kgwadi Molepo to the first team.

The sources added that the 22-year-old has been training with the senior team with the aim of assessing him for promotion.
"Kgwadi is on the verge of playing for the senior team this season. He is one of the DDC players who has been training with the senior team as they look at bolstering their defence. Yes, he is a versatile player as he can play both as a holding midfielder or central defender. That's an advantage to the club and that's why the technical team is set to give him a chance in the senior team this season," the Siya source stated.
A second source stated that the University of Wits graduate has been working hard in training and has impressed both the technical team and management, who are set to offer him a senior team contract.

"As for the contract, the club is going to offer him a senior team contract just like they have done with Mohau Nkota and they are also working on Mbekezeli Mbokazi. They are looking at investing in more of their development players who they feel can immediately add value to the first team and Molepo is one of them are this point in time. He is good for the team and he is ready," the second source stated.
