Following his shock Mamelodi Sundowns exit, it's believed midfielder Haashim Domingo will not rush the decision regarding his next move. The Brazilians parted company with the former junior international after talks over new contract terms collapsed as explained by his agent Lance Davids of Football First to SABC Sport last week.
According to the ex-Bafana Bafana international, Domingo had every intention to stay at Chloorkop until Sporting Director Flemming Berg informed his representatives they would not be swayed in negotiations for a new deal.
"We exhausted all our options with Sundowns because we want what is best for the player and we know how much the coach (Rulani Mokwena) admires him considering his age and what the technical team is building there," said Davids, in part.
Now, Soccer Laduma has been led to believe the process to find the attacker a new home will not be rushed, especially with clubs still in recess.
The Siya crew also reported last week that crosstown rivals SuperSport United were ready to pounce on the free agent. Premier Soccer League clubs are currently finalising departures on the back of the 2022/23 season ending last month, and the registration window for the new campaign will officially open on July 1.
Domingo is now regarded as one of the hottest free agents around and it's expected he will not be short of suitors, who would be keen on the 27-year-old without having to fork out a huge fee for his transfer.
Where should Domingo go next?
